Helpful Tips on Moving

Make a detailed list of all your items – please include loose garden stuff & garage items. Make mention to the mover of ease of access i.e. accessibility of premises, arches, narrow gates, low hanging tree branches, panhandles, availability of lifts etc.

Check with your insurance that you will be covered through your home owners policy during the move.

Plan a simple Record Keeping System, i.e. different coloured stickers for different rooms / departments,  (Blue for Bathroom, Yellow for the Kitchen & Salmon for the Living room etc.).

Complete a change of address form on all correspondence & utility services.

Record serial no’s of electronic equipment & appliances.

Have rugs & draperies etc. cleaned before moving & pack in wrappings before the move.

Try to get rid of all JUNK & unwanted “maybe I’ll need someday goods”.
Have loads of boxes, newspaper, bubble wrap, stickers, markers & packaging tape etc. – we can supply if you don’t have!
Use up all your perishable food items!

Think about your babies – pets can be traumatized by moves! Remember to keep food & water readily available, especially on your/their arrival. (We cannot transport animals!)

Don’t over fill boxes or cartons (use the correct strength for the content – if either of these are over loaded the bottoms might fall out).
It is Highly Recommended that you Safe Guard all Valuables,
Disconnect all electric appliances.

Be specific about all items to be removed & items NOT  to be removed.
Double Check everything – cupboards, drawers etc.

Our Green Friends can be transported; no problems, but all leaves & branches must be bound / tied.

Nothing Higher than bendable 1.7 metres.
